assignment #2: composition

ISO= 200
f-stop= 4-5.6G
camera mode= manual
shutter speed= 1/500 sec
I think this photo has a good composition because when you look at it, you automatically notice the color and start to wonder what the photo is actually of. This photo demonstrates the rules of diagonal lines, contrast, and texture. The diagonal lines show through the outlines of each part of the picture, and the contrast and texture shows through the entire picture.

shutter speed= 1/160 sec

ISO= 110
f-stop= 4-5.6G
camera mode= manual
shutter speed= 1/1000 sec
I like this photograph because when you look at it, your eye is immediately drawn to the background colors, but when you look at it for a while, you notice the window it is taken through and wonder what the background would look like not blurred. The rules in this photo are diagonal lines, clear subject of interest, and contrast. The lines come from the window, the subject of interest is the sunrise in the background, and the contrast comes through between the color and the black.

ISO= 250
f-stop= 4-5.6G
camera mode= automatic
shutter speed= 1/500 sec
I think this photo has a great composition because your eye is drawn to the squiggly shadow in the side of the photo and makes you wonder what that shadow is of. This photo shows the rule of thirds and contrast. The contrast in this is between the shadows and the tan steps, and the rule of thirds shows because the squiggly line is on the side of the photo.
